The red wine Cigalus Rouge, Aude Hautrive IGP, vintage 2020 from the winery Gérard Bertrand has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser, Ulrich Sautter, Benjamin Herzog, Dominik Vombach with 95 Falstaff points.
Deep ruby in colour with purple reflections and subtle brightening on the ochre rim. On the nose, an inviting bouquet of fresh wild berries, sweet cherry, floral nuances, and orange zest in the background. The palate is juicy and very elegant, with ripe tannins, sweet cherry fruit, and a hint of chocolate on the long minerally finish. Already drinking well, the wine has the potential for further ageing.
