The red wine Lagrein Riserva Südtirol DOC, vintage 2018 from the winery Franz Gojer - Glögglhof has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
It has a rich radiant garnet colour, with a purple shimmer. There is a lovely tart attack on the nose with aromas of elderberry, ripe forest fruit, juniper berry, some cardamom, and a hint of liquorice. On the palate it is velvety, round, with a balanced body, and polished tannins. It is taut and tense on the finish.
