The red wine Campo Leon Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Ilatium Morini has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Rondinella , Corvina Veronese, Corvinone Veronese
Rich, deep dark ruby with a slight garnet rim. Concentrated and dense nose, opens with notes of sandalwood, some tobacco, followed by preserved plums and cherries, countered in dark chocolate. Round and full-bodied on the palate, full-bodied, supple tannins, embedded in a lot of texture, still a little wood overhang in the finish, should integrate well with increasing maturity.
