The red wine Rech Herrenberg Spätburgunder GG, vintage 2017 from the winery Jean Stodden – Das Rotweingut has been rated in 2019 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Ahr in Germany.
Fragrant and slightly floral on the nose, with thyme oil, sage and rosehip pulp. It becomes ethereal with time in the glass. In the mouth there's medium-high density, with dry but ripe tannin and lots of juicy fruit. Mild acidity provides the support, this is a wine completely at rest.
