The red wine Rech Herrenberg Spätburgunder GG, vintage 2023 from the winery Jean Stodden – Das Rotweingut has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 94+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Ahr in Germany.
An overtone of wood, but also cool wild berries, mint and rose hip. The palate has ideal proportions: controlled alcohol, yet a supple base, firm, fine-grained tannin that also releases juice, a ripe acidity that carries. Very good fruit with a slight savouriness on the finish. Young.
