The red wine Sentius Priorat DOCa, vintage 2011 from the winery Joan Simó has been rated in 2016 by Martin Kilchmann with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot from the region Priorat in Spain.
Powerful use of wood, but also a powerful savouriness behind it: Herbs and black pepper, slate, tar and Amarena cherry. All of a piece on the palate: silky and sensual, with volume seamlessly filled by high-quality extract and a distinct mineral imprint; the 15.5% alcohol by volume is almost imperceptible.
