The red wine Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Gli Angeli, vintage 2011 from the winery La Gerla has been rated in 2017 by Kiem, Othmar with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright, rich garnet. Opens with intense notes of saffron, some peach compote, then blackberries and goji berries. Salty and juicy on the palate, showing lots of iridescent fruit, finely meshed tannins, builds long, firm drive on the finish.
