The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2020 from the winery La Gerla has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Gently shimmering garnet red colour. Beguiling bouquet of pickled blueberry, forest floor, leather and grilled mushrooms. Polished on the palate, with great fruit sweetness, on tightly woven tannins and supporting acidity, harmonious and very round, right onto the long finish.
