The red wine Brunello di Montalcino, vintage 2012 from the winery La Gerla has been rated in 2017 by Kiem, Othmar with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Brilliant ruby with garnet glints. Intense and inviting nose, rich of ripe raspberries, cherries and pomegranate, light cardamom in the background. Round and juicy initially and when developing, opens with finely meshed, soft tannins, salty, nice tension, long finish.
