The red wine Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2021 from the winery La Poderina has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 88 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Petit Verdot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear ruby in colour with a purple rim. Somewhat restrained on the nose, with earthy notes of damp wood and beetroot, dark fruit, and light peppery spice. The lightly driven palate has a pleasant balance of acidity and tannin, albeit becoming slightly bitter on the mid-palate before fading on the finish.
