The red wine Primitivo di Manduria DOC, vintage 2022 from the winery Mack & Schühle Italia has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 89+ Falstaff points.
The aroma is quite complex and mixes the intense berry fruit typical of the variety with light chocolate flavours and a layer of ripe patina. On the palate, this is a Primitivo that does not show off with exaggerated sweetness, it convinces with proportion and fruit, the tannin appears ripe and is vivid in dense quantities. Only the alcohol weighs it down a little at the end. The wine for a barbecue.
