Tasting Notes
A premiere of the Merlot-dominated single vineyard wine from the noble house of Frescobaldi. 15 hectares in size, still quite young, but a high density of vines are the recipe for this new wine made from 80 percent Merlot and 20 percent Sangiovese from the warm terroir of Castiglioni. Fifteen months in new French barriques and perfectly designed equipment will ensure that this wine soon becomes a cult object. It is not initially available in Austria. Deep dark ruby garnet, opaque color core, thin violet tinge, ripe fruit nuances on the nose, dried fruit aromas, very fine bouquet, delicate floral notes, fine tannin structure on the palate, currant, full-bodied acid structure, probably due to the Sangiovese component, very good food companion, has a promising character. Develops very positively after an hour, accessible wine with bon attaque.
