The white wine »DER« Chardonnay trocken, vintage 2015 from the winery Markgräfler Winzer has been rated in 2019 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Baden in Germany.
Discreet wood, some gingerbread and anise buns on the nose. On the palate it's youthful and compact, with very good balance - firm acidity and a gripping chalky minerality brings a taut edge, but counteracted by a substantial and juicy core of fruit and a fine use of wood. All tightly woven together, it feels vibrant.
