The red wine »DER« Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Markgräfler Winzer eG has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Baden in Germany.
Smoky new oak and a spicy Pinot Noir aroma: bay leaf, dried meat, sweet almond and cherry pit. On the palate, the wine is flanked by an equally fine-grained and dense tannin with lots of juiciness and tactile minerality. Excellent certain ageing potential.
More about the tastingFloral, woody-spicy notes with raspberry, cherry and also rosehip, hibiscus, some black tea. Shows a deep structure, dry, without any pretentiousness, ripe tannins in a good dose and medium grain, balanced acidity, increasingly mineral on the back palate.
