The red wine Masseto Toscana IGT, vintage 2016 from the winery Masseto has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 100 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich ruby. Deep dark nose, concentrated, but also very accessible with blackberry and mulberry fruit and savoury garrigue notes. Multi-layered palate with fine-meshed tannin, compact and juicy, followed by lots of tobacco. It literally dances across the tongue, very long with fine savouriness at the back.
