The red wine Masseto Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2020 from the winery Masseto has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Franc from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich, deep dark ruby with a fine purple shimmer. Intense and dense nose, opens with notes of cold smoke, then lots of dark currant, blackberry and graphite. Full-bodied and dense on the palate, opens with tightly woven tannins, fine spice, seems very compact, slightly earthy components on the finish.
