The red wine Masseto IGT, vintage 2013 from the winery Masseto has been rated in 2017 by Peter Moser with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark ruby, purple reflections, soft brightening on the rim. Delicate nuances of orange zest, fresh red cherries, some marzipan, fine savoury notes, aromatic herbs, nuances of red berries, a touch of fine oak. Juicy, elegant, round and harmonious, with a pleasing fruit driven sweetness, fine, vivid tannins, a subtle touch of nougat, tightly meshed, tightly structured wine that will still need some more time, patience is needed here, and a lot of it.
