The red wine Masseto IGT, vintage 1998 from the winery Masseto has been rated in 2017 by Peter Moser with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark ruby, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Fine sweet cherry fruit, subtle red berry nuances, a hint of dried fruit and nougat. Has fine fruit on the palate, very harmonious, powerful, ripe tannins, fine chocolate touch, very long lasting, mineral, a wonderfully balanced, mature food wine, notes of blackberries and black cherries on the aftertaste.
