The red wine Conte Gastone Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Massimago has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone Veronese, Rondinella from the region Veneto in Italy.
Clear ruby with garnet glints. Very lush and appealing nose with notes of ripe fruit, pickled cherries and plums, sweet blackberries and some forest honey. Supple in approach and course, fills the palate well, much texture, on the finish a little light persistence, sweetish.
