The red wine Conte Gastone Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, vintage 2020 from the winery Massimago has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella from the region Veneto in Italy.
Shimmering ruby colour with a clear garnet hue. Powerful on the nose, with notes of plum compote and cherries, as well as varnish and iodine, and a touch of barley malt. Very sweet fruit dominates the palate, with chalky tannins, mouth-filling and very full-bodied, right into the lingering finish.
