The red wine Barolo Cerequio DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Michele Chiarlo has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Dark ruby red with delicate bright rim. Aromas of very ripe plum and cherries on the cusp of being overripe, with savoury slightly animalistic notes. Deep and rich on the palate with a mineral texture, grippy tannins and a long finish. Very individual style of wine.
