The white wine Cometa Sicilia Menfi DOC, vintage 2017 from the winery Planeta has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Fiano from the region Sicily in Italy.
Bright, rich straw yellow with a light golden touch. Intense, fragrant nose of ripe peaches, lychee, apricots and strawberries, underpinned with light notes of flint. Balanced and rich on the palate, creamy and smooth, unfolds slowly but consistently, an elegant acidity, enveloping, yellow fruit, rich and long on the finish.
