The white wine Chardonnay Sicilia Menfi DOC, vintage 2022 from the winery Planeta has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Sicily in Italy.
Bright golden yellow with light reflections. Very intense and complex aromas of mango, pineapple and honeydew melon on the nose, with a hint of beeswax and acacia honey, underpinned by candied citrus fruit. Very soft and full-bodied on the palate, almost creamy and with an appealing freshness that finishes with citrus notes on the long finish.
