The red wine Sondraia Bolgheri Superiore DOC, vintage 2021 from the winery Poggio al Tesoro has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc from the region Tuscany in Italy.
A bright, intense ruby red colour. Complex on the nose, with notes of leather, chocolate and liquorice, followed by blackcurrant and sweet cherry, slightly volatile, very exciting. Very taut on the palate, lots of velvety, ripe tannins, well-integrated wood notes, a powerful body, very balanced and a long finish. Has potential!
