The red wine La Gioia IGT, vintage 2005 from the winery Riecine has been rated in 2010 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright, rich ruby purple in colour. A compact nose with notes of tobacco, then lots of elderberry, with cherry in the background. Full-bodied and firm on the palate, which unfolds with dense tannins that builds up in a multi-layered way. Notes of plums and cassis also emerge in the rich finish.
