The red wine Pinot Noir, vintage 2008 from the winery Roxanich Winery & Restaurant has been rated in 2016 by Peter Moser with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Istra - Istria in Croatia.
Strong carmine garnet, ochre reflections, broad rim brightening. Nuances of dried plums, delicate nougat, underlaid with red berry nuances, hints of cherries, subtle herbal spice, candied orange zest. Powerful, notes of cherries, present tannins, fine acid structure, mocha on the finish, notes of rancio, very good length, chocolaty aftertaste. Goes well with a cigar. A blend of Oloroso sherry and vintage port with slightly less alcohol. It has nothing to do with Pinot Noir.
