The red wine La Ricolma Merlot IGT, vintage 2011 from the winery San Giusto a Rentennano has been rated in 2015 with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear ruby purple colour. Finely characterised, intense nose of blackberries, plums and dark currants, inviting. Full-bodied and powerful on the attack and on the palate, showing lots of ripe berry fruit, then opens up with dense, vivid tannins, builds well but also has rich depth, with a fine herbal note on the finish.
