Bright, rich ruby with hints of purple. Compact and intense aromas, initially notes of balsamic, sandalwood and liquorice, then plump, juicy blackberry with background savoury notes. Concentrated and intense on the palate with lots of juicy, fresh fruit, especially dark currants and cherry. The hearty, dense tannins build in the mouth to a very long finish.
