The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2019 from the winery San Polo has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Brilliant ruby colour. Fragrant nose of Amarena cherries and raspberry cordial, reminiscent of marjoram and cocoa butter in the background. Gripping and substantial on the palate, fine-grained tannins, clear berryish fruit, accompanied by sweet tobacco, subtly bitter in the lingering finish.
