The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2019 from the winery San Polo has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Brilliant ruby. Fragrant nose of Amarena cherry and raspberry cordial, reminiscent of marjoram and cocoa butter in the aftertaste. Gripping and powerful on the palate, grippy, fine-grained tannins, clear berry fruit, accompanied by sweet tobacco, vibrant, subtly bitter on the lingering finish. Best decanted before drinking.
