The red wine Arruga Carignano del Sulcis DOC Superiore, vintage 2016 from the winery Cantine Sardus Pater has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Carignan from the region Sardegna in Italy.
Elegant, dark, bright garnet red. Ripe raspberry, rich cherry and a pinch of cinnamon on the nose, with a noble savoury aftertaste. Opens up on the palate with ripe tannins and a juicy core. Grippy and juicy, with beautiful length and depth, it is already drinking very well. Minimal after-drying.
