Very dark ruby in colour with purple reflections, a deep core and subtle brightening on the rim. On the nose, nuances of delicate fine oak, fresh cherry, subtle notes of liquorice and a touch of candied violets. The palate is juicy and elegant, again with cherry, some mint, pronounced supporting tannins and a dark minerality, with notes of dark nougat on the saline finish. The wine will benefit from further maturity, overall it is a little leafy and rustic.
