Tasting Notes
A kind of second wine, the grapes are 100 percent from Oakville and 75 percent from To Kalon Vineyard. On the nose, black berry, liquorice, and then an opulent spiciness almost reminiscent of rheumatism ointment. The palate starts with a soft, crumbly tannic impression, is viscously grounded, ultra-ripe tannin and a rather mild acidity result in a round, full-bodied, creamy impression. This definitely has punch, but also such luscious fruit that the alcohol remains well integrated.
