Dark burgundy in colour with a full-bodied red wine aroma: almond, juniper, red and black currant. Some power on the palate, adhesive tannins, fleshy, with quite a fine mousse, a hint of sweetness behind the substance, and mild acidity. Could develop in an exciting way – and mature into a complex food wine.
