The red wine Pinot Noir, vintage 2020 from the winery Shelter Winery has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Baden in Germany.
Still some wood savouriness on the cool nose, appropriate and with fine smoke and some juniper berry, cherry and wild raspberry, bay leaf. Juicy, supple and striving forward with delicate spice on the palate, flanked by finely meshed tannin that nevertheless stretches out tentacles. Compact structure, cool savouriness, mineral grip. Highly individual, does not have to fear more expensive Pinots.
