The red wine Merlot Vino de la Terra Mallorca IGP, vintage 2013 from the winery Son Prim has been rated in 2017 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Balearic Islands in Spain.
Fascinatingly iridescent. Complex spicy aromas with a hint of sweet cherry, cherry pit, but also ethereal-floral overtones, tree resin, and liquorice. On the palate with a gentle attack, round and silky, almost sweetish, but not lacking in structure. On the finish the tannins are grainy for a moment and only just mellowing, before viscosity and sweet fruit again allow the impression of roundness to dominate.
