The red wine Niederrimsingen Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Stiftungsweingut Freiburg has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Baden in Germany.
It has a dark colour, with a discreet brightening on the rim. There are subtle malty notes on the nose, alongside the aroma of dark chocolate. On the palate the wine develops some power, with strong alcohol and oiliness forming the background for a slightly ragged grainy tannins, and the final fruit is characterized by aromas of plum and dark berry, plus a very slight oaky undertone.
