Dense, opaque ruby with a cherry red rim. Shows aromas of cassis, liquorice, clove and damp wood, with echoes of coffee grounds. Juicy on the palate with clear berryish fruit, the wine spreads well and spans the palate with fine punchy tannins and notes of tea on the finish.
