Tasting Notes
Strong and dense red colour; powerful, initially still restrained bouquet with notes of very ripe fruit, black cherries. The high alcohol content (16.5 vol.%!) is barely noticeable; soft attack on the palate, well-embedded, massive tannins and subtle, appropriate acidity, very concentrated; finishes long on a slightly green tip, wait.
More about the tastingRich dark ruby with violet shimmer. Dense and compact nose, smells of ripe blackberries, rich dark currants, some moss, cardamom and white pepper in the background. Very present and intense on the palate, opens with rich, ripe fruit, lots of dark berries, fine-meshed, dense but also well-integrated tannins, flows smoothly, very long finish, remains beautifully drinkable despite the considerable 16.5% alcohol.
