The red wine Amongae Rosso Riserva Sicilia DOC, vintage 2020 from the winery Vigna di Pettineo has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 88 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Nero d’Avola, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Merlot from the region Sicily in Italy.
Powerful ruby with a rich rim. Quite restrained on the nose, slightly of cooked chestnuts, with dark, ripe cherry. Lots of sweetish fruit on the attack, some blueberries, then opens up with emphatically drying, rough tannins, simply not a pleasure to drink.
