The red wine Nina Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2021 from the winery Villa Santo Stefano has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Franc from the region Lucca in Italy.
Brilliant ruby red colour with a brighter core. Not quite clean on the nose, slightly animalistic, with notes of liver, cherry and a little cranberry, plus slightly earthy flavours. Good juiciness on the palate, clearly pronounced spiciness, savoury, then unfortunately becomes a little chewy at the back.
More about the tastingBright ruby red colour. Initially slightly reductive on the nose, then a potpourri of coffee powder, precious wood, malt, very ripe cherry and plum fruit on the finish. Narrow fruit on the palate, but rich earthy-ferrous notes, comes in several layers, still very young and somewhat rough.
