The red wine Nina, vintage 2022 from the winery Villa Santo Stefano has been rated in 2026 by Ulrich Sautter with 98+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Franc from the region Maremma in Italy.
The aroma is dominated by an already quite open fruit of blackcurrant and elderberry. The wood is used with restraint and remains only subtly noticeable. Peppery and even slightly floral tones emerge on contact with the air. The palate combines the highest concentration with the greatest elegance, the tannins are flawlessly ripe, fine-grained, not too sweet and smooth, but provide structure without being astringent. The fruit carries the long finish in combination with ripe acidity and intensely tactile mineral components.
