The red wine Loto, vintage 2022 from the winery Villa Santo Stefano has been rated in 2026 by Ulrich Sautter with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot from the region Maremma in Italy.
Behind woody notes of cinnamon and cigar box, the aroma unfolds a very ripe, dark berry fruit. Hints of prune and thyme are also noticeable. The palate is characterized by a dense, fine-grained tannin structure, the alcohol warms a little, the acidity is seamlessly integrated. The finish is exceptionally long with its structural and mineral components.
