The red wine Viña Seña, vintage 2009 from the winery Viña Seña has been rated in 2022 by Anne Krebiehl with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot from the region Aconcagua Valley in Chile.
Garnet tints glint in the opaque wine. A lifted nose combines a minty edge with a lactic note and an aromatic notion of sweet tobacco and sun-warmed hay. All this is pitted against lovely notions of ripe, juicy plum. The palate is dense but has a quintessential Cabernet Sauvignon elegance, Carmenère lift and Merlot juiciness. This is evolving but wonderfully fresh and vivid on the palate, with ripe, smooth tannin. Very balanced, rich but with every muscle well defined. Beautiful
