The red wine Amancio Rioja DOCa, vintage 2005 from the winery Vinedos Sierra Cantabria has been rated in 2011 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Tempranillo from the region La Rioja in Spain.
Pure Tempranillo from vines more than 30 years old. Dense ruby colour with a purple rim. Powerful, concentrated, still very young-looking Rioja, sweet, elegant and long, shows some finesse, remains fresh and balanced and shows a royal astringency in the lingering finish, chocolatey touch in the aftertaste.
