The red wine Amancio Rioja DOCa, vintage 2010 from the winery Vinedos Sierra Cantabria has been rated in 2014 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Tempranillo from the region La Rioja in Spain.
Noble (new) wood (and lots of it), cigar box, some candied cherry, also ethereal notes of ripe fruit. Very soft attack, creamy base, with a dry, grainy filling, tannins with a large grain, but also with juicy resolution. Unobtrusive acidity, strong minerality. An expansive wine, powerful, but with a soft enough base to avoid appearing massive.
