The red wine Cabernet Riserva Südtirol DOC, vintage 2018 from the winery Wassererhof has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
It has a rich dark ruby purple colour. There is a very vivid and intense nose with notes of dark currant, some tobacco, and some bay leaf in the background. It is round and full-bodied on the palate, opening with gripping dense tannins, and it has a firm drive on the finish.
