The white wine Grauburgunder Pinot Grigio Südtirol DOC, vintage 2017 from the winery Wassererhof has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauburgunder from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
A pale golden yellow colour. It opens on the nose initially with a smoky character, and marked by some fine oak spice, then some salty lemony notes, candied yellow fruit, and some minerality, it is a multi-layered bouquet. It is smooth and round on the palate, opening magnificently, and beautifully unfolding over the tongue. There is a skilful use of oak and it has a juicy finish.
