The white wine »Geheimrat J« Rheingau Riesling trocken, vintage 1999 from the winery Weingüter Wegeler – Gutshaus Rheingau has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rheingau in Germany.
Light golden. A scent of kumquat and pear with a series of spices: cardamom, sandalwood and liquorice. Smooth in the mouth, oily onset, clearly sweet, medium texture and minerality, finishes again with the suppleness of the initial attack on the palate, does not have the utmost precision in its contour and ends somewhat broadly, but ultimately has harmony on its side.
