The white wine »Geheimrat J« Rheingau Riesling trocken, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingüter Wegeler – Gutshaus Rheingau has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rheingau in Germany.
On the nose: floral, citrusy, peach, shattered rock, iodine, crisp on the palate. Still very compact, everything is tightly integrated, tight phenolics, very dense and gripping, also with supple notes in the background, terpene-tart and extract-driven side fades away, immensely rich in potential.
